Note : The next step is to join the sides to the side with stitches. This will turn your creation into a cute bag!
- To join the sides, work a chain 1, then slip stitch into the back loop of the left side,
then insert the hook into the back loop of the right side and sl st.
Repeat this pattern to join the entire side.
- Cord ( Two Strand)
Start with a slip knot
- Make a slip knot with both strands of yarn held together.
- Insert your hook into the loop of the slip knot.
- Yarn over with only one strand of yarn.
- Pull the yarn over through the loop on your hook. You’ll now have two loops on your hook.
- Pull both loops on your hook through to complete the first stitch of your cord.
Continue crocheting the cord:
Repeat steps 3-5. Remember to yarn over with only one strand of yarn each time. This will create a single crochet stitch using both yarn strands. Continue repeating these steps to create your cord until it reaches your desired length.
Fastening off:
- Once you’re happy with the length, yarn over with one strand (as usual).
- Pull through the two loops on your hook.
- Cut both strands of yarn, leaving tails of about 6 inches.
- Weave the yarn tails through the last few loops on your hook to secure your work.
